What is a Thin Blue Line Charity Run?

In association with National Police week, we are bringing people together for a 5k/10k run to support and interact with our local law enforcement, all while raising money for a great cause!

The thin blue line is an image that represents law enforcement standing together to protect each other and the community from the evil that exists. We often use the thin blue line as a symbol to remember and honor fallen law enforcement and the sacrifice they made. While our local law enforcement appreciates, and desires, community support and respect, they have asked that the funds raised be given back to an organization that is making a difference in our community. This year we will be giving all proceeds to “Friends of the Children” for the phenomenal work they do in long-term mentorship of youth facing the hardest challenges.

In 2017, we had almost 300 participants and raised over $4500 for “Friends of the Children-Klamath Basin”. We were sad that we had to take a year off last year, but we are excited for 2019 and to watch this event continue to grow!
